draenei: commissioned, do not take without permission (pic#1138522)
I did start up a blog, but honestly I am lazy and can never remember to update anything...ever.

That said, today was...interesting.

Character: Shadopun, survival hunter

I was in a dungeon where the frost mage needed on the strength ring (Shadowfang Keep). The tank, angry about this (despite being a monk who uses agility not strength anyway: ooh 30 more health with 3stam woooh woooowww) charged ahead and tried to wipe the group because of it. Then we got a replacement tank who tanked in cat...went bear...but couldn't pull aggro off of the other cat/etc. They dropped and were replaced five minutes later by a warrior in heirlooms who didn't suck.

I was annoyed at the frost mage for needing on that ring, too--even I would have gotten more use out of it than them. Buuut it's not worth getting angry about. This is a game...and people are dumb. The End.

Well, after many deaths on Hagara from my hunter... I have learned that there are three huge problems people in the raid finder just don't get about the fight.

First, don't run in there when your healers aren't ready. The trash before Hagara is kind of shitty.

Second, don't start DPSing until the tanks have aggro. Or you will eat mobs for breakfast. And lunch. And possibly even dinner.

Third, don't pull Hagara until your healers have mana. Why? The DPS will die. Without DPS, you are screwed.

So while I'm healing I actually notice little things I never notice on my hunter, due to tunnel visioning. In fact, I bet MOST DPS tunnel vision, because of the sheer amount of people that stand right where the ice wall is.

Turns out...you can see it shuffling toward the edge of the ring from the center. Good to know for future reference, I suppose.

That said, I had a happy little moment where I spent most of the Raid Finder (Siege) top or #2 in heals. In fact, I was #2 overall, and #1 on Hagara and all trash.

Proof, because this will never happen again.

(Of course, I didn't win a damned thing.)

Oh yeah. Patience.

My patience with WoW is astoundingly short these days. Last night I ran into an arms warrior with a shield/1h weapon, and I whispered him to inform him that arms warriors use a 2h weapon and if he didn't already know, that he gets increased damage or whatever for using it.

And then. I let. It drop. The guy didn't whisper me back, I accepted that as him not giving a bloody damn about how to play. Not everyone wants to be told how to play. I know when I was still a scrub, I didn't like being told what to do. (I WILL PUT ALL MY TALENTS IN ALL THE TREES AND I DO NOT CAAAAAAAARE!--though I did play alone/only quested solo at the time.) And I've learned that politely mentioning shit like, "Oh hey, did you know...?" goes a lot further than "You're doing it wrong, stupid."

So we had this heirloom-geared hunter (don't get me started on entitled heirloom-geared hunters) who started complaining about the arms warrior, as if we NEEDED his extra DPS to carry on or something--admittedly, his DPS was bad, but we weren't wiping or anything. And while he was at it, why didn't he complain about the healer who was STILL WEARING THE CANDLEWAX-STREAKED ROBES--WHITE QUALITY FROM A GOLDSHIRE QUEST, AT LEVEL 40-SOMETHING, IN DIRE MAUL? Well.

Of course I was also extremely put off by the hunter's comment about how the warrior was "probably messican". <--what the shit, racist prick. I tried to kick but it didn't work.

Later, after a lot more badmouthing on the hunter's part, the others got tired of him and kicked him with the reason, "k".

Then we wiped on the final boss a billion times due to the healer sucking. Yeah. Flash Heal =/= the best heal, no wonder he was out of mana on trash pulls. Between that and his white-quality robe, I mean, really. :|

I just have no patience to a.) deal with Stupid, or b.) do more than lead people through the dungeons they haven't memorized yet.

I used to be the cheerful, super-helpful dungeoneer, but lately I just want to get it over with. I'm only there for the XP, I don't care anymore if people pull for the tank, if the healer enables the DPS pulling for the tank, et cetera and so on. I just give up on caring. It might annoy me, but it's not worth doing anything about. If the tank dies, I try to pick up the slack, but otherwise, I just don't bother.

Joining the mass exodus from Livejournal, and I made a separate account for my WoW-related babble. I'm not sure why, really. I just get the feeling that not enough people here on DW care about WoW that my blathering might as well be contained...er...elsewhere.

And I love draenei, so why not ninja the name?

And so, for my first entry.

I seem to have this odd complex when it comes to running dungeons. No matter how many wipes there are, I can't abide the thought of leaving. Just a random thought I had today. I guess I just like to see things through!

In other news, I'm considering making IC/OOC posts, but not sure that my RP (or non-RP) matters enough to bother with it. Ho-hum.
